Polyoxymethylenes are engineered Thermoplasti-cics, which are formed through co-polymerisation of formaldehyde. Due to its chemical structure, POM-engineering plastics are also referred to as polyacetals.
They possess high crystallinity andbelong to the stiffest and most solid Thermoplasti-cic engineered plastics with good tensile strength, high surface hardness, and low friction at the same time. Polyoxymethylenes are often used as preci-sion parts for precision engineering and serve as a substitute for metals.
